How We Can Help

First, watch a free on-line video about dyslexia on the Bright Solutions for Dyslexia website. Just go to:

www.BrightSolutions.US

and watch the first video on the list, called Dyslexia: Symptoms & Solutions. After watching this video, if you suspect your child is struggling because of dyslexia, contact us for a low cost screening.
  • If you would like to tutor your child, helping them learn to read, write and spell, we will consult with you and help you begin using the Barton System.

  • If you would like us to personally tutor your child using the Barton System, we can do that.

    • Consistency is the key to success! We require our students to tutor at least 2 times each week for 50-55 min. Significant progress is typically evident within 3 - 4 months, however to complete the entire system, plan on being in the program for 4 to 7 years.

    • Tutoring fees vary starting at $57.00 up to $75.00 per session.

  • ADVOCACY: CIBD now has a Certified Special Education Dyslexia Advocate on staff. If you are looking for an advocate to help you navigate the ins and outs of a 504/IEP, to look over school/psychologist paperwork, to request documents from the district, to read assessments and help you understand what they say in clear terms, or to attend IEP meetings so you have someone in your corner advocating for your child... CIBD tutor Monse can help. Her first consultation is free. If you would like her contact information, please email Cynthia.CIBD@gmail.com.

  • Need help improving working memory/cognitive function? CIBD is certified in the program Equipping Minds. EM is designed to be an intense workout for the brain and can be helpful to anyone, not just dyslexics, who are wanting to improve their cognitive functioning. It is taught an hour a day, 4 or 5 times a week, for a minimum of 60 hours. The focus of EM is on game play not course/class work. The student is improving working memory, processing speed, attention, etc. by playing a wide variety of games.
